Curly Sugar maple

Sugar maple (acer saccerum) is one of the hardest and densest of the maples and is common throughout New England, the Lake States, Mid-Atlantic states, and several Canadian provinces.
It stiff, strong and stable, giving it a bright and sustaining tap tone. Curly maple with consistent, heavy figure and a pure white color is extremely rare and occurs in only 5% of sugar maple trees.

We hand select our curly maple logs for color, grain, and maximum figure.

All of our sets are air dried for a minimum of 4 years.
