Indian rosewood

Indian Rosewood (dalbergia latifola) ranges in color from red to light brown with lightly colored golden streaks. Some guitar sets display various shades of purples, burgundy, and medium browns. Indian rosewood is exceptionally stable and easy to work. It is an excellent choice for the first time builder or master luthier. The tap tone of Indian rosewood is very resonant with a deep warm bass. It has been the choice back and side wood for many guitar manufactures for the past 35 years.
